Why do livestock eat poisonous plants or 'walk' the fence when there is plenty of good feed in the pasture? Come spend a fun and informative day with Dr. Fred Provenza and learn the answers to these questions and much, much more! Registration will begin at 7:15 a.m. with the workshop running from 8 to 5:30 on Thursday, December 10 at the Wray City Hall in Wray, CO. In his characteristic practical and very entertaining style, Fred will explain why animal behavior is so important on rangelands, feedlots and wildlife management. Registrations postmarked by Thanksgiving are $10. Late registrations and at the door are $20. Fees include lunch, breaks, and books/DVD's to take home. Attendees will thoroughly enjoy this presentation. Come late and leave early if you have to. You're only regret will be not hearing the entire presentation. To register or to get more information, contact the Yuma County Conservation District at 970-332-3173 ext. 3 or email julie.elliott@co.usda.gov.
